In response to the great success of the renovations and additions to the South Mountain complex, the County of Essex had again commissioned Comito Associates to design a second 500 car deck to accommodate the great increase in attendance to the complex. Using the design elements established by the firm in the earlier works, the new deck continues the design streetscape aesthetic of similar brick and stone details, a tree and banner lined promenade and super graphic event murals. The new parking structure is strategically located to service the public but also to provide a buffer to an office of emergency management, ice hockey rink loading and service and recreational equipment storage.
